I’ve lost my MoJo

In 1999 the second film in the Austin Powers series was released. In the movie, Austin Powers must return to the year 1969 to fight off his as arch-nemesis Dr. Evil who successfully stole Austin’s “mojo”. Austin is powerless without his mojo that holds his confidence, his drive, and his ambition to be the international man of mystery.

Over the last two months, my writing mojo has been depleted to the point I wanted to stop writing. My passion for writing came to a complete halt. I tried over and over the holidays to write something but nothing would get past one or two sentences. Subjects would come to mind but the words weren’t there. I guess you could say I had writer’s block. It was more than that but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I started to process and self evaluate what the cause was.

After doing some self-evaluating, I realized things were different now and that I was in a different season in my life. At first, I denied the feeling that things were changing. In the back of my mind, I felt different and saw things from a different viewpoint. I had to get back to the core of why I started blogging. My writing may be different so bare with me.

It’s been one year since I started and it’s been an amazing journey. Just like Austin Powers “your MoJo comes from within”. All the things Austin did showed that he never lost his mojo and I have long lost mind.

Look out for more blogs very soon.
